How it works
Fireblocks sends TRM Labs the transaction details, including the output address, the transaction hash, and the Customer Reference ID. TRM Labs returns a categorical risk level, and the specific risk categories it matched, if any. Screening differs by direction:- Incoming transactions go through TRM Labs’ transaction monitoring.
- Outgoing transactions go through TRM Labs’ wallet screening. In this Early Access release, they are not registered with transaction monitoring.
Connect TRM Labs
You need a TRM Labs API key created with Know Your Transaction (KYT) API access. Enter it in the Console to connect. The default rules cannot be edited or removed; custom rules you add above them take precedence. Default Trigger (Screening Policy) and Outcome (Post-Screening Policy) rules apply until you create your own. There is no API to connect to a provider. To switch to new credentials later, submit a ticket to Fireblocks Support. See TRM Labs on the Help Center for the Console steps.Timeouts
TRM Labs uses longer timeout windows than other providers, measured in hours, because it monitors the transaction and polls for alerts instead of resolving it immediately. If no result arrives before the window closes, Fireblocks applies a default verdict unless your policy specifies otherwise: reject for outgoing transactions, and accept for incoming transactions, since the funds have already arrived.Work with results through the API
See Compliance Policies and Transaction Screening Operations for details.
